Any show that Mark puts together with a New Orleans theme is worth a good go, but unlike the Shake, Rattle & Roll shows crammed with great Rock & Roll and Rhythm & Blues, the longer format with live music recorded at Maida Vale allows for deeper discussion and reflection.  And that’s what you get from Allen Toussaint and Elvis Costello, with plenty of talk to go with the tunes they perform. 

It’s not New Orleans all the way though, as Mark pays tribute to Desmond Dekker who died just before the show aired.
